The Red Apple Adventure
Reesha was a very curious girl. She was three years old and loved to explore her backyard. One sunny morning, Reesha decided to go on an adventure. Her mission? To find something bright and exciting!
She skipped past the flower beds and stopped under a big, leafy tree. "Hmm, what is this?" she wondered aloud.
She looked up and saw something round and shiny hanging from a branch. It was a beautiful, deep color.
"Look, Mommy! [gasp] What is that?" Reesha called out to her mother, who was watering the plants nearby.
Mommy walked over and smiled. "That, my sweet Reesha, is an apple. And what color is that apple?"
Reesha tilted her head, thinking hard. "It's... it's the color of my favorite boots!"
"That's right! It's red," Mommy said. "Red like a stop sign, and red like a juicy strawberry. This is the color Red!"
Reesha touched the smooth, cool skin of the apple. "Red!" she repeated, giggling. "My first adventure color is Red!" [laugh] She felt very proud of her discovery.

Blue Sky and a Big Balloon
The next day, Reesha was playing outside again. She was still thinking about the color Red. She wanted to find another color!
Suddenly, a big, round balloon floated past her. It was tied to a long string, and it looked like a giant bubble.
"Wow!" Reesha grabbed the string just in time. "I caught it!"
She looked closely at the balloon. It wasn't red. It was the color of the sky above her head.
"Mommy, what color is this balloon?" she asked, holding it up high.
Mommy pointed up. "Look at the sky, Reesha. The balloon is the same color as the sky. That color is Blue."
Reesha looked from the balloon to the sky. "Blue," she whispered. "Blue like the water in the pond, and blue like the little bird's egg we saw!"
She held the blue balloon tightly. It felt like she was holding a piece of the sky. She bounced the balloon gently. "Red and Blue! I know two colors now!" [chuckle] This adventure was getting better and better!

The Sunny Yellow Flower
Reesha woke up ready for her third color adventure. She put on her favorite yellow dress—the one that felt like sunshine!
She walked to the garden where the flowers grew tall. She saw many colors: pink, purple, and white. But she was looking for a special color.
She spotted a flower that was so bright, it almost hurt her eyes! It was big and round, like a happy face.
"Oh, hello there, sunny flower!" Reesha said. She touched the soft petals.
Mommy came over with a watering can. "Reesha, you found the perfect flower! What color is it?"
Reesha didn't need to think long this time. "It's the color of the sun! And the color of my dress!"
"That's right! It's Yellow," Mommy confirmed. "Yellow like a banana, and yellow like a baby chick."
Reesha smiled widely. "Yellow! [gasp] It makes me feel warm and happy!" She loved the color Yellow. She now knew Red, Blue, and Yellow. She felt like a color expert! She gave the yellow flower a gentle pat.

Green Grass and a Big Discovery
Reesha sat down on the soft, cool grass to look at all her discoveries. She had the Red apple, the Blue balloon, and the Yellow flower.
She looked around her. What was the color of the ground she was sitting on? What was the color of the leaves on the trees?
"Mommy," Reesha called, pointing to the ground. "What is this color? It's everywhere!"
Mommy sat down next to her. "That, my clever girl, is the color Green."
"Green!" Reesha repeated. "Green like the frogs, and green like the leaves!"
"Exactly," Mommy said. "Green is a very important color. It's the color of nature and growing things."
Reesha held up her red, blue, and yellow treasures. She looked at the green grass all around her.
"I know four colors now!" Reesha cheered, jumping up. "Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green! [laugh] Learning colors is the best adventure ever!" She felt like the smartest three-year-old in the world. She couldn't wait to find more colors tomorrow!
